Indeed it was a sad festive mood for the people of Mathare Constituency “MASHIMONI area” in Mabatini Ward. More than five hundred (500) houses were brought down by fire which is said to have been caused by explosion of a cooking gas. Many people lost their properties as some are said to have gone in upcountry to celebrate Christmas with their families. The local residents and Fire fighters tried to put off the fire but the track had no enough water.

And so we ask:

How prepared are we in case of emergency?

Must something happen so as to take action?

Hello Isenya, I can feel your grievances. Whatcthen do you thing can be done to reduce such incidences because it’s not the first time we are experiencing fire outbreaks in Mathare as a whole.
